Concrete Works

Our skill and workmanship in working with concrete has enabled us to complete projects featuring exposed in-situ concrete walls and ceilings, such as for the award winning Freshwater and Bellevue Hill homes.

However, our greatest honour was being entrusted to construct ‘Harry’s Park’, which was created as a tribute to the late Harry Seidler, that featured Class 1 Finish white concrete, in the sinuous and cantilevered Seidler tradition. This project received a Commendation Award in the Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia (CCAA) 2013 Public Domain Awards, as well as being Winner in the 2012 Master Builders Association NSW Excellence in Construction Awards.

Rock Excavation

Precision excavation, cutting and finishing of rock and sandstone on site is one of our key specialties.

Our excavation work for the award winning Bellevue Hill home, for example, involved excavating 2,500 tonnes of sandstone and soil, initially by hand, and saw-cutting of the rock face to form walls up to 18 metres in height. Parts of these walls were left exposed and hand finished by our Stonemasons.

For another house in the Eastern Suburbs, we excavated a 16 metre long tunnel into solid rock, to create a large garage area, as well as hand-excavating vertically above, to provide a lift shaft for access to the house situated 10 metres above the garage.

New Home Construction

We are able to provide a full array of services for the highest quality construction of any new home, including multi-level designs on challenging sites – ranging from surveying and demolition of an existing home, excavation and structurally engineered foundations, through to precision face brickwork, in-situ Class 1 Finish concrete, custom stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, waterproofing, marble/stone tiling and precision quality finishes.

Home Design

The foundation of a successful building project starts with an integrated design approach during the planning phase, in order to ensure that your home will suit your requirements and expectations.

Whether directly, or in conjunction with your Consultants, we work together as a Team with the parties involved, such as the Architect, Structural Engineers, Hydraulics Engineers, Designers, Suppliers and the Client, in coordinating the various desires, in order to help optimise the final outcome, in terms of functionality, practicality, durability, beauty and affordability, including types of products, materials, textures and colour schemes.

Additions, Alterations & Renovations

We have extensive experience in structural remodelling, extensions and new level additions, including attics, basements and cellars, for existing homes. Our versatility also allows us to expertly renovate any existing area to the desired style, whether it be to original or ultra-modern minimalist design.

Heritage

Utilising our experience in restoring fragile homes that were originally built in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s allows us to carry out challenging Heritage-Listed projects that involve intricate details, such as re-creating or restoring ornate ceilings, cornices, architraves, skirtings, timberwork, tiles, brickwork and stonework, as well as for critical reinforcement and underpinning work, to ensure that the existing structure is properly supported.

We can also liaise with the Heritage Council to assist with the various requirements.

Restorations

We relish the challenge of transforming a dilapidated old house or terrace into a structurally sound home, by undertaking detailed and careful restoration work, to preserve and enhance the original charm, beauty and character of your classic home.

Remedial Works

Through our underpinning, propping, weatherproofing and restoration expertise, we offer an extensive and integrated range of Remedial Building Works services for houses and terraces, as well as for unit blocks.

This includes carrying out rectification work, along with providing root cause based solutions, for structural deterioration, such as concrete cancer, cracked brickwork and termite or dry rot damaged timberwork, as well as for any sealing and waterproofing issues.
